Alvin R. Christovich and William J. Kearney, Jr., founded Christovich & Kearney in 1926. Our founders believed in quality work, personal service, cost-effective representation, and high standards of ethics and professionalism. These are the values guiding Christovich & Kearney today.
Christovich & Kearney first earned its reputation for excellence in trial advocacy and insurance defense litigation. Building upon that foundation, our attorneys broadened the firm’s expertise and practice areas to meet today’s challenging and diverse needs of our clients.
We know our clients expect high quality legal services at a reasonable and predicable cost. We work to achieve our clients’ litigation management goals and benchmarks, consistent with the needs of each case, providing the highest standards of ethical and professional legal representation.
Our attorneys practice in Louisiana, Texas, Mississippi, and in select courts throughout the country. Our clients include local, national and international businesses and insurers; state and local governments; non-profit organizations; and individuals.
Case Management & Control
We provide effective representation on a responsive and cost-efficient manner. We understand our clients’ need to predict and control the cost of legal services. It is firm policy to work closely with clients to achieve their stated litigation management goals and to arrive at suitable fee arrangements consistent with the requirements of each case.
Our goal is effectively and economically to provide each client with high quality and professionally-rendered legal services.
Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion
Christovich & Kearney is committed to promoting diversity within our firm and within the legal profession. We believe racial, gender, and cultural diversity encourages creativity and open-mindedness and makes us a stronger firm, better able to serve our many and varied clients.
To this end, we established the following four goals for our firm relating to diversity, equity, and inclusion: (1) fostering a more inclusive workplace environment; (2) attorneys participating in diversity training initiatives; (3) seeking and hiring diverse candidates to continue our efforts to develop an increasingly diverse workforce; and (4) increasing the availability of diverse attorneys to obtain equity in the firm commensurate with their value to the firm and our clients.
Community and Professional Involvement
Professional and volunteer involvement benefits the community as well as our firm and its staff. Our attorneys actively participate in various civic, educational, and charitable organizations and activities.
