John Nieset practices in the areas of products liability, insurance coverage, construction law, contract disputes, premises liability, longshore and maritime personal injury, and toxic torts. For nearly 25 years, he has represented manufacturers, installers, and maintenance contractors of complex machinery, including commercial elevators, residential elevators, escalators, dumbwaiters, and construction lifts. He has vast experience in the engineering, design, construction, and contractual issues such cases present. He also represents insurance companies in coverage disputes, particularly those involving latent injuries for which the affected policies are lost or expired.

John is admitted to practice in Louisiana and Mississippi. He joined Christovich & Kearney in 1997 after graduating cum laude from both Tulane University and Tulane Law School. He is a member of the International Association of Defense Counsel and the Defense Research Institute. He lives in New Orleans with his wife and two children.
